The Magic of Signs From the Universe

IMG_0006.jpg

This was such a fun conversation to have on the podcast. Lauren has been one of my longest-standing friends. We met in kindergarten, lived only a few streets away from each other, and basically navigated through the most tender and formative years of our lives together - especially in the junior high to early high school days, such a crucial, pivotal time of life haha. Our families were each other’s families, we went on trips together, and we managed to survive the most awkward years and make it out alright (and have the pics to prove it).

I asked Lauren to join me for this episode because I have been especially awed lately by the way that God / the Universe (those names are inter-changeable to me, but use whatever name you’d like here for a Higher Power / Source) has been finding ways to communicate with me. And as I dig deeper into those, I want to share them with you as I believe it has the ability to add so much depth and magic to our lives, as well as sweet confirmation and comfort in the exact moments we need it. Originally I had wanted to do an episode on Angel Numbers and signs from the Universe, and when I thought about what mine was and other stories I’ve loved around this topic, Lauren immediately came to mind. I LOVE her story around the sign she has, and have always been so touched by the way she thinks of me every time she sees mine or my lucky time (and her ritual around this is my actual favorite, you’ll hear it in the episode). So naturally I wanted to have her included in this conversation.

In the episode we talk about our friendship story, the significance behind angel numbers and what it means when we see repeating numbers or our favorite times (see here for a better description than what I gave), and then the stories behind each of the bigger signs we believe were given to us, and the crazy and magical ways those signs have shown up in our lives in just the right times - including how Lauren’s helped lead her to her husband (my fave story).

Check out the episode below for the full stories, the photos to accompany them, and then enjoy some snapshots into our awkward teen-hood including braces, wispy bangs, and evidence of matching to MULTIPLE school dances (why?). I’d love to know if any of you have signs and the ways they’ve shown up in your lives, so feel free to leave a comment sharing that, or tag me on instagram so I can see when they show up in your life (I love that stuff).

You can find Lauren on instagram here, and you should absolutely check out her food blog with the most amazing recipes of all time (I’m not exaggerating). Search for the vegan pesto - it’s to die for, and I can stand by almost every single recipe on there as I’ve been blessed enough to be on the receiving end of them. Fun fact: her and Jessie (my last guest) tag teamed the food for my last birthday party and it was the most special and delicious gift of all time for me. So so grateful for the gift of your friendship (and food) in my life, Lauren, and thank you for joining me!
