French Girl Car Wreck

Sometimes I love the act of putting together an outfit every morning, and other times I want nothing more than to have someone do it for me. My mind doesn't always know which direction to take and I have spent countless minutes just staring at my closet doing nothing productive. When I participated in different style collaborations in the past, I loved the challenge it presented me with to focus on a look or piece, and create a new outfit around it.

So recently, in an over-dramatic fit of despair, I vented to a (male) co-worker that I wish I had someone who would present me with a new theme every day in order to help choose an outfit. Surprisingly, he willingly offered to supply me with daily themes and this has turned into the most fun week of picking outfits ever! The best part is his creativity behind them. Instead of "mixed prints" or "chambray shirt," his mind turns out ideas like "librarian out on the town" or "croquet espionage." While these obviously allow some room for interpretation, they still point me in a direction and help me get totally creative with my closet. 

All that to say, the theme for this outfit post was "French Girl Car Wreck." Yup, those are the kind of things I'm dealing with. And as an added treat, he wrote up the 5 different looks I've done this past week (including a pic of each one) over at his blog in his always witty, and very well-written manner.
