Dressing for Thanksgiving

Hi friends! Happy Thanksgiving week! I love, love, love the promise of a short week and good food and family time to look forward to. I feel like it's this week that officially launches the holiday season so all weekend I have been filled with bubbly excitement and anticipation.

Bettina and I teamed up again to bring you another style challenge. This week we chose "dressing for Thanksgiving" and each picked two totally different looks. For a casual day of eating, lounging, and socializing, Bettina chose the more dressed down, but still totally cute, fall look. I went the dressy route (naturally) and channeled my Repurposing Party Dresses series for this outfit. This dress was from Forever 21 ages ago and I think I maybe have worn it twice (the cut on the top of it is sorta bizarre). But I love the pretty color and fun pouffy-ness of the skirt so I haven't been able to let it go. I threw on my favorite, coziest leopard sweater, tied it up in the back, added a belt and an extra dash of leopard and sparkle and called it good! I know reality says you won't be shoveling turkey and mashed potatoes while sitting in this outfit, but in case you have a fancy party to go to afterwards, were looking for a way to wear a pretty dress of yours another way, or just love getting dressed up like me, then here's an idea for you :)

Head over to Bettina's blog to see the rest of her look and have such a wonderful day!
