Heat Wave

I wasn't going to post these pics, mostly because well, they're just boring. But since style is more than just what you wear when you decide to be cute, I thought I would include them. This is real life people. It's 90 degrees out and I want to be wearing the new sweater dress/top I just bought from Old Navy, but instead this is the only kind of outfit I really can be wearing. I wore this over to Bettina's a couple weeks ago when we went to the pool on another scorching day and am a fan of wearing button down shirts like this as a cover up. It just seems a little bit sassier than the simple tank tops I always used to wear.

I know everyone is pissed about how hot it is and how they want to be wearing boots and scarves and burning pumpkin candles, but honestly I'm not that mad. Yes my wardrobe is starting to feel very repetitive, but after 4 years in the rainy northwest, I'm still soaking up every day that dries me out and warms me up. The fall and winter will come people, I promise. And soon enough you'll be complaining about how cold it is. So let's just enjoy bathing suit weather a little bit longer shall we? Warm fall days at the beach are nothing to be upset about :)

  3. Believe me, I have these days too! Mine are usually on the weekend and I don't post on the weekend unless I have something special planned. But you look great in this! It still shows your stylish side because your not just wearing a simple coverup!

  4. I can relate. :) I have lived in the Pacific NW all my life so I savor every sunny day. Fortunately, the weather lately has been so beautiful! Not very fall like at all yet. It's still mid-70s, sunny, and clear skies. I love it!

  7. Um, the colorful bikini top make this so not boring :) And I guilty of complaining hehe, I need to stop being so neggie because I bet as soon as it gets cold I'll be like oh man I wish I was laying out at the pool lol.

  11. I think it's cute! And it's always good to throw in a dose of the real life. I mean, we can't always have fantastically coiffed outfits. But you still look super cute for the everyday.
