Pieces of Glitter

Two days ago as my Mom and I were driving back to Bend from Medford, we made a split second decision to turn right at the sign that said "26 miles to Crater Lake." It wasn't too far out of our way, both my Mom and I had never been before and we had always wanted to see it. One of the best decisions we ever made. It was just what we needed after a tough few days, and honestly was one of the most beautiful natural sites I've ever seen. Majestic, mesmerizing, grand, incredible. Just a few of the words we came up with to describe this place. I'm so glad we made that turn, I know we'll both remember that detour forever.

The biggest piece of glitter this week still has to be seeing my Dad and knowing he'll be ok. There have been moments of heartache and sadness as I watch him in pain, but knowing we're all going to make it through this is the best feeling of all.

Hope you have wonderful weekends my dears. Hug your loved ones and don't waste time worrying about things that don't matter ok? Life is too short and good for that.
