Repurposing Party Dresses: Part 3

Well hello! Welcome to Part 3 of my Repurposing Party Dresses series. (see also Part 1 and Part 2). This segment was super exciting for me because it involved two of my favorite things: this pink lace dress and leopard. I really have to thank Ally for some of the styling on this one. It was a lot more boring before she added her input. Wonderful photographer and a great stylist? Done and done.

But once again, I love how you can take a piece that might not be that repeatable, and turn it into a completely different look. I doubled up on two different patterns of lace, changed the accessories, and dressed it down with flats instead of heels. I even wore the 2nd part of this outfit out with Ally after our shoot I loved it so much! And have also worn this dress as a top one other time since this day.

There's one more week in this series (I saved my favorite for last) so stay tuned for that next week. I'd love to know if you've come up with any new looks for your party dresses lately, let me know in the comments below!

Forever 21 Lace Dress (similar), Forever 21 Lace Skirt (splurge version), Forever 21 Scarf (similar) (no I'm not sponsored by Forever 21), Similar leopard flats

If you're interested in getting in touch with Ally - who professionally shoots weddings, engagements, solo photo shoots, and pretty much anything you want - send her an e-mail at allystepp [at] gmail [dot] com. She's the best ;)

Happy happy Thursday my dears!

  1. Oh, I LOVE this lace dress so much! I totally think it could be dressed down with just a pair of cute flats and a jean jacket. So cute and so versatile!

  3. Omigosh, I love that lace dress-- I can't believe it's a Forever21 find! It looks so much more expensive! And it looks so cute paired with your black skirt and flats! Love the leopard accessories and can't wait to see Part 4!

  12. This is so smart! I'd seen people wear their dresses with skirts before, but this looks particularly good. I have a few dresses I know would work with a skirt. Thanks for the idea!
