Lighting up the Night

So I'm back from my 4th of July vacay up in Bend with my family, and honestly it's a little hard to be home! It was so good having our whole family together and just enjoying almost 5 days of warm summery fun together. River floating, paddle boarding, BBQ's, warm nights, farm visits, movie watching, etc. So good.

But I think one of my absolute favorite memories from this trip was our last night there, where lighting sparklers out in the backyard turned into a super fun photo fest! My brother thought to bring out his camera and try doing long exposure shots to capture the light (mind you, it was almost PITCH BLACK in our backyard). I still can't get over how light these turned out! We used our cell phones and the flashlight app to create these and had so much fun. My brother would come up with these creative ideas and we'd pose and write in the sky and create designs, and then all rush back to the camera to see the results, usually followed by squeals and screams of joy and laughter. The best! Here were some of my favorites and I just love how you can even see the stars!

It was my brother's idea to draw a crown and wings on me. He knows me so well, love him :)

How sweet is this one of Rich and Lisa? Total framer.

May you find things that light up your dark spots today and be filled with joy friends!
