Good Morning! I thought I would just share a quick nail post and how-to today. One of my favorite looks has been the graduated glitter look (see also here) and I really love how easy it is to make something look so fancy! Once again inspired by pinterest, I wanted to do graduated glitter, but from the bottom up instead of the top down, and I love the color combo of gray and pink together.
So here's the quick steps I follow to get my nails like this:
1. Paint 2 coats of your base color (this is Chinchilly by Essie)
2. Dab just a little bit of glitter polish at the bottom of your nails
3. For the second coat of glitter, just start at the bottom and paint over the first layer of glitter and then up to the middle of your nail. It should naturally cause it to be thicker at the bottom, with sparse pieces of glitter towards the top (creating the ombre look)
4. You're done! Sometimes you have to play around with the glitter a little bit to get it to look how you want it to, but honestly it's pretty easy overall.
You can also reverse it and do it from the top down as well.
Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!! (In our elementary school carpool days growing up, my Mom used to always send us off with alliterations for whatever day it was...obviously that tradition has lived on in my life).
