Get ready for serious nail salon envy - or excitement if you happen to live in Orange County and have yet to try this place! Last week I had my first experience at Rosey Toes - a nail salon on Balboa Island (so, yes, I could walk there from my house) that is absolutely adorable! And right up my alley (no pun intended actually).
Right after the darling chandelier and cheery pink walls, the first thing to catch my eye were the rows upon rows of Deborah Lippmann and Essie nail polish (!!!) Literally my definition of "kid in a candy shop." It is so, so rare to find a salon with those options (the only other one I've seen has been in Bend, OR actually - see my post on it here) and makes picking my nail color both a tremendous treat, and an extremely difficult task. At $16-$20/bottle, I don't own many of those fabulous colors, so getting to choose from any color I want is incentive enough to go there.
After the excitement of the color selection, I found there are many more things to love about this place. Talking with Krissy, Rosey Toes' owner, I learned about their commitment to sanitation, customer service, and the reasons why they have regulars who have been coming to Rosey Toes since the beginning - when they opened 8 years ago on the island. Here are just a few facts worth loving about them:
- They insist on hospital grade sanitation by using stainless steel bowls and tools and throwing away tools after each use
- Their nail polish lines are all 3-free, offering the safest, healthiest options for their customers
- You won't find acrylic gels or UV lights at Rosey Toes, also because they have their customers' best interest in mind
- You can get pretty manicures, amazing pedicures, fabulous nail art, and threading at their salon (see their full menu here but note that their options do change by season)
Love the girly and cozy feel the salon has
Are you dying yet from all the amazing bottles?
Went with Deborah Lippmann's "Lara's Theme," an incredibly bright and fun orange color
And here's something fun! If you mention that "Glitter and Grace" sent you when you go to Rosey Toes, you'll get 10% off your first visit! Perfect if you're still searching for something to do for your mom for Mother's Day (mother/daughter pedicures - what could be better?) or just need a relaxing afternoon for yourself. You won't be disappointed, I promise :)
Enjoy and happy rosey toesies to you!
xoxo

I am trying to go here this week! It looks SO cute! I don't know if I would even be able to pick a color with all those choices!
ReplyDeletelove the shade you picked! i haven't gone to get a mani/pedi in a salon for so long - I'm always slightly repelled by the idea of using the same tools as everyone else - yuck!
ReplyDeleteThank you! And that's why this salon is so great - everything is so clean!
DeleteI'm going to have to go here, maybe I'll go before we take pics next week :)
ReplyDeleteOmg I have to try this place now that I'll be closer to Balboa!
ReplyDeleteEssie's nail polish is $8 a bottle, less than OPI's $8.50, and Deborah Lippmann is usually $16 a bottle. I can't imagine the mark up from here in WI to Cali is that big of a difference?
