Dressing Up

I miss dressing up. Not having a reason to get dressed up every day for work can definitely have it's perks, but I've realized that not only do I miss it, it also makes me feel less creative with my outfits when it comes time to actually be cute for something. It's like I'm out of practice. So in the meantime I live vicariously through my fave style blogs and fashionable friends. Here are a few looks I would love to copy and for now I'll just file them away as inspiration until I have an excuse to put my fancy pants (or skirt) on.

  2. I started dressing up anyways, even if I didn't have anywhere to go, it makes me feel so much better sometimes! And then I started an internship where I actually had to dress down and not be flashy {because of clients} and that became way harder than my usual dressed up outlook. Therefore I started to look forward to my days off or the weekend when I could wear whatever I want, lipstick included! great pics, love all these ladies :o) I liked our guest post for Anna today too! I'm guest posting for her on Thursday :) Ok longest comment ever..

  4. you just picked out some of my very favorite outfits (esp blair's!). i've come to the realization that if i don't wear half the heels in my closet then no one else will. so, with that in mind, i've started really dressing up again for events and outings! it makes me feel extra good when i know that i've put on something extra special that day!

  6. I love all of these outfits (and these blogs!) and I miss dressing up, too! I'm a preschool teacher, fanciness isn't exactly suitable for toddlers! ;)

  10. I love the Cupcakes & Cashmere pink look, one of my faves! I totally know what you mean, I work from home/remotely everyday but Wednesday, and I've resorted to getting dressed up for working from Starbucks or a coffee shop, because at year 2 of working from home if I don't I get stuck in a sweat pants rut :)
