Nail Block

I realized I have been neglecting my first love [nail polish] on here and wanted to apologize. Lately I have been dealing with a pretty bad case of "Nail Block." Every time I go to paint my nails I am at a complete loss. Not only can I not come up with any new, creative ideas (my Pinterest board isn't even helping), but no colors even sound that great. It's probably because I have choice overload happening every time I look at my shelf.

Anyways, here's something I tried the other night after I bought some new thin-brush nail polish and it turned out alright. Not crazy about the shade of gold this is (way too yellow) but mostly I'm just happy any time glitter is on me. I was focusing sooo hard to keep the lines thin and straight, I kind of felt like I was playing Operation. This plum looks almost black and I wish you could see the purple in it more. All in all I'd give these nails about a 6.7.

K so here's where I need your help! If you have any fabulous nail design suggestions or colors, I'd love for you to send them my way! Whether it's one you've tried, have seen somewhere else, or are wanting to try, I would love for some inspiration. Feel free to leave them in the comments or tweet them at me too (@glitterandgrace). I would be sooo appreciative :)

  15. I think that comment link above for the newspaper writing on nails is brilliant! Have you seen all the fun things people are doing with chevron stripes? I saw this the other day, it would be fun to try! Here's a Missoni inspired one - http://www.beautylish.com/a/vpyci/missoni-manicure-tutorial
