It's Scarf and Boots Season

Scarf - Nordstrom? Italy? Not sure...

So it's COLD in Portland now!! Today (Wednesday) was cold and rainy and made me want to stay under a fuzzy blanket on the couch. But it also made me want to wear my new favorite tights that I am kind of in love with. I liked pairing them with shorts (my romper) and boots so you could still see a decent amount of them. *Sidenote: tights + shorts does not = warmth. Also, boots with holes on the side because you've worn them so much = wet socks when you step in puddles :( Time to get new boots, I know.

I wasn't out of the house too much today but did make it to the third week of prayer for Seven out at Door of Hope and was so encouraged and blessed as usual. Loved the sweet girls I prayed with and what these churches hearts are for the city and people of Portland. I feel like the last few days for me have been filled with sad news of heartache in the lives and world around me, and yet have still felt covered by the overarching peace of God's love. It's a strange, unexplainable, and beautiful feeling, but it sometimes takes the darkest nights to help you recognize and appreciate the beauty of the light that follows. I hope and pray that you can experience that light if you're going through a dark time.

  2. I have really been wanting to try the tights/shorts thing. I, however, live in FL, so it should be just enough warmth. :) And I, too, have learned to appreciate the trials. They have made God's grace and love so much bigger in my every day life. XO.

  7. can't wait for cooler weather to hit these parts, so that i can finally revert back to my scarf collection!

    i love the ring and the tights are pretty interesting... i probably couldn't pull it off.

  8. Super cute outfit! I have those same boots and mine have a hole also (in the toe) :( Can't wear them on rainy days because my foot gets all wet. Funny that we both have that same problem!
