Hello lovely little cupcakes! So I apologize if you if already saw these pictures on The Concrete Catwalk when I guest posted for my bestie, but I am tired and needed a post for today and figured this would do :) I actually think this outfit is quite boring, but it was the best I could do for a "summery" assignment when it was literally POURING outside. Oh silly Portland in July. I was trying to brighten the dreary day by throwing on my most fluorescent piece of clothing and some colorful accessories as well. I think it worked a little :)

When I started this blog, I didn't have a clear definition or direction for it, I just knew I wanted most posts to fall under the category of "glittery" or "grace-filled." Eight months into blogging regularly, I still haven't found a true niche one way or another, but I guess that is the beauty of having your own personal blog right? If I had to pick the type of blogs I enjoy looking at the most, it would definitely be style blogs. Not only is it so fun to see what other people wear, but it honestly gives me ideas on how to be creative with my own outfits. So I feel my blog-self wanting to lean in that direction. I've run into a few challenges though: 1. I don't have a professional camera yet. 2. I don't have a built-in bf or hubs to take the pictures for me. And 3. I let the "$0.00 shopping budget, and lack of new designer clothes" fact get the best of me. Which is silly I know. I'm aware there are solutions to all three of those problems (buy a camera, use a tripod or a friend, and dress for my budget with what I have), but I'm just not there yet.
All that to say, my blog will still not be taking a specific direction yet, so I hope you enjoy super random posts every day :)
Happy non-raining, gloriously sunny Thursday to you!! xoxo
P.S. Thank you so much for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers after yesterday's post. I was honestly surprised people read all the way through it, much less chose to respond. It meant a lot to me :)

I agree with Heather! You should do what you love, and I think your style is AMAZING, but there are so many fashion blogs out there, and yours stands out for being uniquely you. :) Love you, girl!
ReplyDeletePretty in Hot Pink!!! So Audrey Hepburn-like. You make the rain & umbrellas look fun. Love you Sweets! XOXO mom
