Ready for B-Suit Season

Photo: Pinterest

The weather and forecast is so completely depressing in Portland right now. I really try not to complain, but the next three months are my absolute least favorite here. When I awoke to sideways, windy, torrential downpour rain, I quickly texted my Mom to see when we could get down to Palm Desert next to visit my Grandad (God bless you Grandad for choosing such a warm and dry place to live, with a pool, and for begging me to let you use your miles to fly me down there). Luckily a trip is in the works for this month, and even if it's a super short weekend, I'll take it. Anything to provide a much needed, vitamin D loaded break from this place.

So to focus on the sunny side, I figured what's better than a little b-suit shopping to get my mind out of the rain and onto a poolside lounge chair?! Nothing, exactly. Here are some of my favorites right now:

Nylon Tricot Hooded Swimsuit from American Apparel

Kind of strange I know, but there's something about this suit that I just love. I've tried it on and it fits really well, and I have a friend who has this and totally rocked it (love you L Roons).

Palma Sola Bandeau & Surf Hipster by Trina Turk

I think my favorite suits are from Trina Turk. They immediately bring to mind thoughts of a fabulous tropical vacation. I love the fun bright colors, patterns and interesting details. I want this one piece too.

Ralph Lauren Sport Halter Bikini

Love the girly ruffles on this simple black suit.

Purple Frill Bandeau Bikini from Topshop

More ruffles, but I am crazy about this deep purple color and the bandeau style top.

Swimsuit from H&M

This one has a sassy back and it's only $14.99.

Plaid Suit from H&M

I really like the plaid colors on this one, and once again, it's only $18.

Navy Plaited Strap Triangle Bikini from Topshop

This nautical suit makes me want to be on a sailboat.

Ruffle Trim Suit from Victoria's Secret

I'm a big fan of white bathing suits. Even if I'm not quite tan enough to wear them, and there's always the slightest fear they'll be see-thru.

Salinas Striped Suit from Victoria's Secret

LOVE this one.

ANK Heart Bandeau Top and Bottom from Victoria's Secret

You can't go wrong with hearts in my book. Well sometimes. But not with this one.

Leopard Suit from Victoria's Secret

Animal print suit = basically a necessity.

I might have gotten a little carried away. But that just goes to show you how badly I was in need of a warm distraction. And now I have lots of ideas for summer suits!

Think sunny thoughts and stay warm! And if you live somewhere warm, I don't want to hear about it, unless you're inviting me there :) xoxo
