Sprinkles

So I have an addiction to nail polish. Literally. There's something magical to me about a little bottle of shimmery lacquer that can transform your ten fingers into little joy givers that keep on giving. I am particularly fond of glitter nail polish. Having nails that sparkle and shine every time you move them makes me ridiculously happy. Every now and then I check the nail polish blog All Lacquered Up and was fascinated by a look Katy Perry had tried. Though they used special gels to set it (that I think ended up making it look worse in the end), I thought I could maybe try it myself. So I gathered my materials and started the process and surprisingly it worked! I love looking down at my multi-colored sprinkle fingers! I got lots of compliments and lots of "don't you just want to eat them?" comments. While I'll admit that on day two they're looking slightly less fabulous, it may have been worth it just for the night of fun and pictures I got. I'll list my steps below in case anyone feels like re-creating this delicious treat for themselves. Enjoy!

My Supplies

1. Base coat.
2. Paint nail your favorite color (I chose hot pink, it doesn't really matter though since you won't see it), then dip into a bowl of sprinkles while the polish is still wet.
3. Drip nail glue over each nail to secure them.
4. Continue for each nail then paint a nice thick clear top coat over all of them. My favorite is Hoof Lacquer that my bestie Jessie told me about and that I buy off Amazon.
5. Stare at them every chance you get and show them off to total strangers. Trust me, they'll be impressed.
